It’s been days since Sho and I broke up.
Everyday, we see each other for concert rehearsals, promotions, shows, and when the guys planned for a night out.
Everyday, I miss his touch, his kiss.
Everyday, I still continue to love him.
I miss you…
I tried my best to show the others and the fans that I’m fine, that I’m moving on. But it’s always a struggle, I tell you.
“Ne, Aiba-kun, pick now your partner. Hayaku!” Nino said. We’re
currently filming Arashi no Shukudai-kun and we’re already at the part
of my Aibaland segment. Jun-kun suggested having a pairing part at the
game, and the chosen member should pick another name in a fishbowl
technique.
“Okay, okay. Heehee.” I went beside Ogura-san and picked a piece of
paper. I was half surprised to the name written on the paper: Sakurai.
My heart began pounding hard at my chest.
“Aiba-chan! Hayaku! Who did you pick?” Nino persistently asked. I
turned my back at the audience and closed my eyes, making myself calm.
It only took a few seconds before I was able to add another layer of
mask.
I smiled. “Sakurai-san.”
Members were silent. I simply went in front of the audience and looked
at my right. “Oi, Sakurai! Hurry up. There’s still another pair after
us.”
You went beside me, hesitantly grabbing my right hand, enclosing
with yours. I know my palm’s sweating. I felt your thumb lightly
caressing the back of my hand. In return, I gripped your hand,
remembering the feeling. I miss this. I miss your hand touching mine. I
miss you being beside me.
I smiled at the camera, hiding my teary eyes. “Now, let’s start the game!”
I still long for you…
I know that you tries your best to forget me, my love for you and yours to mine.
Riida even mentioned that he saw you glancing to me at times when I’m not looking.
“Don’t be sad, Aiba-chan. Even though you’re together, your hearts are there for each other.”
Of course, I felt pain. I want you to be there for me without any hesitation.
In response, I smiled to riida.
“Ne, let’s go out.” Nino said while packing his DS to his bag. “With the others.”
“Where?” Riida asked. In my mind, I don’t want to go since being Sho
long enough makes me want to cry more, but sadly, my heart tells
otherwise.
“At the downtown bar. Let’s celebrate our non-working holiday tomorrow.” Nino looked at everyone.
“Sure.” Sho replied without taking his eyes off the newspaper he
was reading ever since the show ended. Looking at him, I again, smiled.
“Aiba! You should come, okay?” Jun asked me. I guess, my defense
mechanism was to smile. I smiled and smiled, even though it doesn’t
reach my eyes.
“Fine.”
I still love you…
I understand you. I completely understood your decision. But is there a little chance that you still have feelings for me?
We are the only members left at the dressing room. The others were
asked to repeat and add some pose. I know you were desperately trying
to avoid any communication with me, so do I.
I sat opposite you and thought of anything to distract myself.
Apparently, I found nothing so I just walked to the window and watched
the rain.
“Aiba.” I was surprised of hearing my name from your lips.
“Yes?” I looked at you and smiled. You walked towards my place and
stopped in front of me. Looking at your face, that’s the moment I
noticed that you’re also experiencing the same pain.
“Aiba, can we… can we talk?” You said. I only nodded my head.
“I… I just want you to know… that… that my father survived the
critical state.” You also smiled but immediately bowed your head.
I was also smiling since I heard good news, but at the same time, I
felt pain at my chest. I’m once again, in verge of crying. Instead, I
grabbed his face with both of my hands and made him look at me.
“It’s good news! I’m happy for you, Sakurai.” I was again surprised
when you grabbed my shoulders and hugged me. I felt you tremble. “Hey,
what’s… what’s wrong?” I asked with a slow speech, trying my best to
hide my trembling voice.
“Not… nothing… I just… I just want to hug you…” I felt wet at my shoulders. In return, I also hugged you. “I’m sorry.”
What you’ve said triggered my tears to come out of my eyes. I can’t control it. I only shake my head.
“I miss you, Masaki.” Your voice did show your true emotions. You’re trembling and you’re hugging me tightly.
“I… I miss you, too… Sho.” We cried in each other’s arms once
again. “I… I only… hiccups… want us… to be back… to the way… hiccups…
we were… before…” I felt you nodding your head. “As… hiccups… friends…”
Again, you nod your head.
We stay like that for a few more minutes. Letting each other go, I
smiled. I kissed your forehead. “Just remember that always, even though
we’re not together anymore, always remember… that my heart will always
beat your name, Sho.”
Another batch of tears was trying to build again at my eyes, and I think it was the same in your situation.
You nod your head. You also smiled and repeated my action. “Even
though we’re not together, always, always remember, that my heart will
always beat your name, Masaki.”
I, too, nod my head and smiled.
